The GBQHA is currently undergoing a reorganization period.
At this time there are no plans for any shows in 2012.
We appreciate your past support. Please check back
periodically for any updates.
The Greater Baytown Quarter Horse Association is based in
Baytown, TX, approximately 25 miles due east of Houston. The
association is currently undergoing a reorganization period.
Our long time President Dan Thomas has stepped down in order
to spend more time with his family. We want to thank Dan for
his many years of dedicated service to GBQHA, he will be
missed. We are currently looking for new
Board Members to inject fresh ideas in to the mix. If you
are interested, please call one of the
Board Members to find out when and where we are meeting.

We at GBQHA believe
that you should have fun at our shows, so we do not require that
any of the participants do any "work" while showing.
We have a great bunch of volunteers that graciously donate their
time and labor to help make the show run smoothly. This way you
can concentrate on being the best that you can be.
You can save time by printing and filling out the
Entry Forms
prior to arrival.
You can also pre-submit your entries by emailing them to
podd2657@verizon.net.
You can do this in two ways. You can print the form, fill it out, scan it
and then email it as an attachment OR you can send our email
form by following the directions on the
email form page. Entry forms are in Adobe .pdf format. If you have any
questions, please contact one of the Board
Members.
As usual, all AQHA rules apply at our shows. In addition, we
have an internal set of rules pertaining to GBQHA shows. You can
access both the GBQHA and AQHA
Rules
here. There has been a change in the rules regarding
series award eligibility, please read. You can also view and
print the
Showbill.
Visit
our new
Pictures
page and see if you made it on our website.
We are attempting to compile a list of
email addresses of people that would like to receive the
notifications by email. This would greatly reduce our costs of
operating the shows. In addition, it can help us to send out
notification in the event that we have to re-schedule, postpone
or cancel a coming show. If you would like to receive
notifications by email, send an email to
gbqha@gbqha.com
with your full name and a request to be added to the list. We
promise these emails will be kept confidential and will not be
used for any purpose other than GBQHA business. One other note,
if you are not currently on our email or mailing list and would
like to be added, email us your FULL name and mailing
address and we will add you. This is for your own
protection to prevent spammers from joining our group.
One note on the egroup:
many Internet Service Providers (ISP's) are routinely filtering
emails from yahoogroups. You must specifically request that
these emails are allowed to be delivered to you or you will not
receive them. You will need to check with your ISP and find out
if they filter them and how to allow the emails through.
We are always in need
of sponsors to help us with the operating costs of the show. If
anyone would like to sponsor the classes or if you know of a
sponsor that would like to help, please contact one of our
Board
Members.
